Vintage fashion is enjoying a significant moment, both on and off the red carpet, with the rarest runway pieces being particularly popular. For instance, Miley Cyrus wore an amphorae-shaped hooded cut-out gown from Yves Saint Laurent’s autum/winter 1991/92 collection, imagined in metallic lame for her ”Flowers” video. And who can forget Rihanna wearing a Karl Lagerfeld-designed Chanel jacket from the autumn/winter 1996 collection to announce her pregnancy.

The latest celebrity to join in on the trend? Rita Ora. The British pop singer portrays a bride-to-be who appears to be stressed out about getting married in the music video for the song “You Only Love Me.” Ora puts on her wedding dress after applying her makeup: an extremely rare ivory Yves Saint Laurent autumn/winter 1987 Rive Gauche garment with dramatic tulle sleeves and a veil attached to the dress.

She had her hair tied back in a vintage-inspired updo and her makeup leans glamorous with bold pink eyeshadow and glossy lips.

The dress was obtained from the vast collection of vintage dealer Cherie Balch of Shrimpton Couture. Rita recently revealed she married filmmaker Taika Waititi in a private ceremony last year, thus she is also a newlywed in real life.

Rita Ora and Taika Waititi fuelled engagement rumors by flaunting gold rings on their ring fingers. On August 12, 2022, insiders revealed to People that the British singer-songwriter and the New Zealand filmmaker wed in a low-key ceremony in London. After the news broke, fans excitedly expected pictures of their wedding, but the couple never revealed any information about the weddings’ planning.
