Rihanna is expected to attend the 2023 Met Gala and as you know, her red carpet looks are always a hit. Case in point: her 2015 Guo Pei gown or 2018 Margiela-fied pope look to the METs. She did however give a glimpse of what’s to come in New York City this weekend wearing a look that very much on theme.
Photographed leaving a restaurant on Saturday night wearing pieces from Chanel’s fall 1994 collection, which was created by Lagerfeld himself (as noted by Vogue) – a Chanel faux fur coat and “CC” logo sunglasses. Captioning the post “Not even Monday” shows the Fenty founder is already one step ahead of the MET Gala. Rihanna incorporated a fuzzy white Coperni dress, strappy Amina Muaddi shoes, and a faux fur hat by Benny Andallo to her vintage Chanel delights.
Riri has been spending a whole lot of time in Paris, with many speculating that she was in search for a MET Gala look. With this years theme being “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” it is expected to see pieces from the fashion brands he’s worked with, including his eponymous brand.
