The Brotherhood Movie Premiere themed “Ojuju” Dress Code Actually Worked Perfectly

The role of a fashion designer is to foresee the future, but they can’t change the future, of course. When the Brotherhood movie premiere theme was dubbed as “Ojuju” (a Nigerian colloquial for Masquerades) it seemed to seemed hard to pull off – but you can bet that these Nollywood stars didn’t come to play.

Think of it as a masquerade ball – masked in mystery and draped in decadence, but a little more african (or an african halloween event). From Basketmouth to Alex Unusual, amongst other A-list Nigerian celebrities, the red-carpet hosted by Greoh’s was filled with a lot of mystery.

The brotherhood follows the story of twin brothers Wale (played by Falz) and Akin (played by Tobi Bakare) – when their parents are murdered on New Year’s Day while returning from a crossover church service, the twin brothers become orphans. After years of battling for survival on Lagos’ streets, the brothers end up on opposing sides of the law: Akin joins a renowned gang of thieves, while Wale joins the police. Wale joins a Task force that is looking for Akin and his gang, putting the bonds of brotherhood to the ultimate test.

If you’re a fan of Tinkerbell (like me!) you’d definitely relate to this costume. That’s right, only Medlin boss can pull of this fairy look with poise.
