For her first red carpet appearance since giving birth to her baby, Jennifer Lawrence went for an edgy-yet-elegant ensemble.

Yesterday, the Don’t Look Up actress made an elegant twist on her carefree post-baby look as she attended the Royal Alexandra Theatre’s Toronto International Film Festival premiere of her new film Causeway. She donned a black, strapless dress from Dior Haute Couture’s fall 2022 collection for the occasion, which had a matching black, high-cut bodysuit underneath and a sheer maxi-length top.

Lawrence wore a black dress for the second time this week as she appeared at TIFF. The Silver Linings Playbook star left her breezy summer look at home and headed out in NYC on Friday in a knee-length dress with a plunging sweetheart neckline. She wore a pair of unexpected wedge heels in bright green to go with the long-sleeved, black outfit.

She completed the ensemble with a dazzling gold purse, a gold statement necklace with a turquoise stone, and black, oval-shaped sunglasses.

The actress announced last week that she and her husband Cooke Maroney have had a baby, who they have called Cy. She also shared some of her most terrifying thoughts now that she is a mommy.

“My heart has stretched to a capacity that I didn’t know about. I include my husband in that. And then they’re both just, like, out there—walking around, crossing streets,” she said. “He’s gonna drive one day. He’s gonna be a stupid teenager and be behind the wheel of a car. And I’m just gonna be like, Good night! You know? Like, who sleeps?
