Doja Cat‘s fashion choices have recently attracted a lot of attention. With the support of her creative director Brett Alan Nelson, who she’s worked with since 2019, Doja has delivered multiple scene-stealing style moments. Her latest scene stealing moment came courtesy of Schiaparelli.
In the months since Daniel Roseberry revealed Schiaparelli’s surreal spring 2022 couture collection, it has become a favorite among the most daring of celebrities. The 26-year-old rapper stole the show with a sculptural velvet corset atop a black floor-length skirt that was just short enough to show off her gold-painted shoes, which were shaped like actual feet – Doja kept it modest in Agent Provocateur’s gold nipple pasties. Underneath, she wore a silk tulle bandeau that matched the length of her ensemble’s train.
Doja accessorized with Roseberry’s distinctive bizarre accessories, including the designer’s sculptural earrings, rings, and a planet-shaped purse, as well as a pair of Schiaparelli’s polarizing gold shoes with carved toes and Bijules nail rings. Doja pulled her hair back into a basic ponytail. The accessories were a perfect match for her golden Top R&B Artist and Top Female R&B Artist prizes later that night.
Doja’s Grammys outfit was every inch Y2K, despite her Schiaparelli gown’s Old Hollywood grandeur. She wore a blue Versace gown with crystals, diamond jewelry, and Coperni’s iconic glass bag designed in conjunction with Heven.
