On June 26, the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles hosted the BET Awards 2022, which was undoubtedly exciting both in terms of fashion and other aspects.

Actor Taraji P. Henson, who has been nominated for an Oscar, presided over the festivities for the second consecutive year. Needless to say, there were a lot of noteworthy moments throughout the event, such when Lotto gave Mariah Carey flowers and Jack Harlow brought Brandy on stage with him (after the embarrassing incident with not knowing she was Ray J’s sister). The recent Roe v. Wade ruling was another major topic of discussion that evening. A number of well-known people, including Taraji P. Henson, Jazmine Sullivan, and Janelle Monae, spoke out against the Supreme Court’s ruling.

This year, Diddy was the honoree of the evening, while other notable awardees were Megan Thee Stallion, Jazmine Sullivan, Silk Sonic, and The Weeknd. The evening’s high-octane performances were its high point, yet style did not suffer. Here are some of the looks at the BET Awards 2022 that you might have missed, including those of Lizzo, Jack Harlow, Chlöe Bailey, and everyone in between.

With her basic yet seductive black outfit, Tems had us fanning ourselves. A thigh slit and an updo are too irresistible. ICYMI, the Nigerian singer won Best International Artist and Best Collaboration for “Essence” with Wizkid and Justin Bieber.
