Beyoncé, Michaela Coel, and Erykah Badu are just a few of the eccentric and inspirational ladies who have donned Feben’s textured body-skimming dresses. They have subsequently been joined by Lashana Lynch from The Woman King.
Lashana wore a chocolate-brown, midi-length version to the Bulgari Serpenti Metamorphosis opening at the Saatchi Gallery, coupled with brown shoes and a selection of Bulgari jewelry. The actor joined Sabrina Elba, Poppy Delevingne, and many more during the immersive performance that celebrated the jeweler’s seductive snake motif for 75 years.
The “twist” method, which Feben invented while doing an MA at Central Saint Martins, is now recognizable in all of her sculptural gowns. Lashana wore clothing with a high neckline, cap sleeves, and patchwork ruching all over.
The new immersive experience by Bulgari, which runs from 25 November to 23 December 2022, will explore the brand’s interpretations of the serpent throughout its history, revealing the subtleties of the snake it is based on and exhibiting its rebirth and personality in the context of jewelry. The Bulgari festivities for Serpenti’s 75th anniversary in 2023 will also get underway with this show.
An installation by Anadol, which is slated to be one of the largest multimedia works produced by artificial intelligence, will serve as the focal point of Serpenti Metamorphosis. The artwork, which mimics the growth of a snake and was produced by machine learning algorithms based on more than 200 million photos of nature, will build on the success of a digital experience performed by Anadol and Bulgari on the Piazza Duomo in Milan last year.
