Kim Kardashian always brings her A-game to ecery MET Gala Event. Last year, she wore two Marilyn Monroe outfits from 1962 – a glittering, crystal-studded flesh tone gown Monroe wore to John F. Kennedy’s birthday party and a Monroe’s green Norman Norell dress, which she wore to the Golden Globes.
She also appeared on the not so red carpet in 2021 wearing a Demna for Balenciaga outfit that was black and face-covering spandex and had a long cascading train – an instant hit.
In tribute of Karl Lagerfeld, celebrities were allowed to interpret the topic in three ways this year, opting for a “modern-day” costume from Chanel or Fendi houses, or a piece in Karl’s black-and-white monochrome color. Kim Kardashian went all-in on the monochrome hue. The SKIMS founder looked exotic in 50,000 freshwater pearls, courtesy of Schiaparelli’s Daniel Roseberry.
The white midi dress featured a silky corset bodice and bra. Accessories included a diamond-and-pearl choker, diamond stud earrings, white sandals encrusted with pearls, and a matching pearl anklet. She also wore an airy white jacket and bronzy makeup and a dramatic updo.
