Demna staged his collection for Balenciaga’s spring/summer 2023 show atop mounds of dirt stacked within the stadium setting. Models trampled in the mud, surely contaminating their attire. You could be thinking that this is a once-in-a-lifetime spectacle to behold but no, it is just the beginning.
Kardashian replicated the scenario because she was unable to attend the Balenciaga event in person. Kardashian appeared for a fresh round of images that were posted on Instagram while lying down in the mud, donning a garment that resembled a number of dark belts, a pair of alien-inspired sunglasses, and a pair of black slides. “When I couldn’t make it to the @balenciaga performance @demna delivered the show to me,” she said as the series’ caption.
The belted dress wasn’t part of the collection but it has a similar tone with the finale gown, which was designed to resemble a collection of purses fused together as many models also wore oversized belts.
