The hype surrounding the highly anticipated sequel to the cult classic film Beetlejuice is real and includes a star-studded cast. However, one cannot help but notice the rich gothic aesthetic (originally created by costume designer Aggie Guerard Rodgers Burton) that Jennaa Ortega, with the help of stylist Enrique Melendez, has masterfully fused to create a themed wardrobe that remains loyal to the original movie appeal.

Ortega kicked off her bold pinstripe-rich wardrobe with a twist on the traditional black and white color scheme. One standout look was a suit by Dolce and Gabbana that she wore to a photocall in NYC. Her bodycon top brought a daring edge to the classic office blazer, featuring a plunging sweetheart neckline and peplum flare. She paired the top with a matching below-the-knee skirt, reminiscent of Beetlejuice’s iconic pinstripe suit. To finish off the ensemble, she added angular black sunglasses, Mikimoto pearl earrings, and platform sandals.

She also reinterpreted her Office Siren style with a power shoulder suit jacket and ultra-mini skirt, referencing Beetlejuice pinstripes. She added a lingerie touch with see-through pantyhose and a sheer corset, and paired it with black Marc Jacobs heels for a dramatic look.

Ortega’s easygoing off-duty outfit is equally apt. She was photographed in New York wearing a black miniskirt, a cropped leather bra top placed over a traditional white button-down, Vivaia two-tone granny heels, and sheer ankle socks. Changing things up with a lingerie-inspired ensemble that includes a black and white Agent Provocateur corset top and a Cider satin maxi skirt.

With the film’s release in a few weeks, there are likely to be many statement looks. We’ve seen her in a vintage Vivienne Westwood and a green corset gown inspired by the zombie Bob. Can you guess what comes next?
