The fashion elite has continued to come out to the shows in sheer ensembles despite the frigid weather in Paris. At Valentino’s autumn/winter 2023 runway show on Sunday, Florence Pugh withstood the cold by sitting in the front row in a completely sheer sequined skirt that showed her underwear.
The star’s party skirt was coupled with a grey sweater, although one with a bejeweled collar that matched her silver bag, while the rest of her attire was nothing short of bold. The actor attended the showcase at the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild along with guests Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Nick Jonas, and the Peltz Beckhams.
Florence has already sported sheer Valentino gear, so this is nothing new. For the design house’s July haute couture show, the actress donned a hot pink tulle dress with nipple baring, and she later responded on Instagram to haters who were upset by the look.
“Why are you so scared of breasts? Small? Large? Left? Right? Only one? Maybe none? What. Is. So. Terrifying?” Part of her lengthy follow-up piece published on July 10 contained the question.
“Listen, I knew when I wore that incredible Valentino dress that there was no way there wouldn’t be a commentary on it,” Pugh wrote. “Whether it be negative or positive, we all knew what we were doing. I was excited to wear it, not a wink of me was nervous. I wasn’t before, during, or even now after.”
Being an ardent admirer of Pierpaolo Piccioli’s designs and Pugh has built a personal relationship with the creative director. In a backless Valentino gown, she presented him with the Designer of the Year trophy at the Fashion Awards in December.
