A lot of moodboards this holiday season include Morticia Addams because to Netflix’s most popular cult series, Wednesday. Tim Burton’s new version on the Addams family features Catherine Zeta-Jones replacing Anjelica Huston as the glitzily gothic matriarch, which has caused a dramatic increase in vampy LBDs and black lipstick at holiday parties throughout the nation.

In her own distinctive way, Salma Hayek has embraced the gothic aesthetic. The actor wore a big Giambattista Valli gown with a tulle skirt, a corseted lace bodice, and ruffled straps to a New York event. Hayek chose a pink lip instead of a wine lip as Zeta-Jones did in Wednesday, highlighting her eyes with a subtly cat-like flick. A last theatrical touch was her slicked-back hair.
