The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star stepped up the heat last week in New York City by switching out her all-white sequin Khaite gown from the CFDA Awards for a fiery minidress.
The dress in question? A vintage Dolce & Gabbana dress with a red chili pepper print from 2000, a time period that Jenner and her supermodel friends have long had a soft spot for. Kendall, of course, is no stranger to the Sicily-focused label; she has worn a wide variety of the label’s desirable vintage pieces, from a slip dress in a cartoon print from the spring/summer of 2001 to a leather skirt from the spring/summer of 1991 that was styled as a tube dress. She donned a flowering floral two-piece from spring/summer 1997 to her sister’s Dolce & Gabbana wedding megathon. Her most recent piece was obtained from the Los Angeles and New York-based antique specialist What Goes Around Comes Around.
The chilli-pepper print in question is a trademark of the Italian brand, which has long embraced its Mediterranean history in the Mediterranean sun with amusing fruit and vegetable images, from citrus fruits to fresh salad necessities.
