Emily Ratajkowski, a New York City resident, came out in a style reminiscent of the city’s biggest stars of the late aughts.
The model was captured on the 22nd while out and about, where she completed a casual fall ensemble with some footwear that was reminiscent of Jennifer Lopez, Alicia Keys, and Beyoncé’s early music videos. The author of My Body donned a cropped black puffer jacket with a drawstring hem and a high collar, along with light-wash skinny trousers.
The footwear in question is a pair of Timberland lace-up nubuck leather boots from a recent collaboration with Veneda Carter (currently retailing for $380.84/£315.) The star also added accessories including a black shoulder bag and a pair of black sunglasses with gold detailing.
If you remember JLo’s Jenny From The Block” music video they resemble a pair that Jennifer Lopez wore in the 2002 music video. A pair of Timberland X Manolo Blahnik shoes are seen on Lopez at one point in the Noughties video.
Since then, the legendary shoes have been worn by Kim Kardashian and served as the inspiration for a complete footwear collection from Rihanna and Manolo Blahnik.
