Dua Lipa is skilled at appropriating popular trends and making them her own.
The pop artist rocked her take on the oversized suit style at last weeks Variety’s 2022 Hitmakers Brunch at City Market Social House in Downtown LA. Lipa wore slouchy separates from The Attico’s resort 2023 collection to the occasion without a top underneath.
The “Levitating” singer accessorized with a gray and white pinstriped suit, black round-toe shoes, black rectangle sunglasses, and a variety of Rainbow K jewelry, including a silver lock pendant necklace and an enormous chain with two-tone gold and silver links. She also had free waves in her hair that fell over one shoulder.
Along with Elton John, the Future Nostalgia singer received recognition as the magazine’s Hitmaker of the Year award. She went to Dodger Stadium with the late musician’s final North American concert last month. Nicole Kidman first wore a one-shouldered evening gown for Balenciaga’s 2021 couture collection, and Lipa recreated it for her glamorous entrance to the show. Under the dress, which had draped embellishments and a long, dramatic train, she donned the brand’s recognizable jersey pantaleggings. Nearly shoulder-length gloves and Bulgari diamond necklaces were among her glam accessories.
