Ludovic De Saint Leaves Ann Demeulemeester After One Season

Ludovic de Saint Sernin and Ann Demeulemeester have called it quits. Over the weekend, news of it broke, just over two months after he debuted his first autumn/winter 2023 collection for the brand in Paris.

In December 2022, Ann Demeulemeester named the French designer as creative director. “Sensuality, tension, silhouette, fluidity, wildness and a graphic feel are defining pillars of the language Ludovic de Saint Sernin is about to build as he traces the new course of Ann Demeulemeester,” the brand stated in a press release at that time.

De Saint Sernin and Claudio Antonioli, who introduced the designer to the label in 2020, have not released a statement. This comes after Rhuigi Villaseor’s resignation from Bally, after having two seasons and Jeremy Scott’s from Moschino after ten years. Prior until now, the creative design team at Ann Demeulemeester ran the company. De Saint Sernin’s inaugural collection, which was inspired by the gender-neutral philosophy he uses at his own brand, with Hunter Schafer wearing the show’s opening look.
