Dr. Olajide Adediran nicknamed Jandor, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for governor of Lagos, has named well-known actress Funke Akindele as his running mate. On Tuesday, the actress declared in a video posted to her verified Instagram page that she was running for deputy governor. She explained why she decided to run as a running mate in the video.
She said, “I saw it as an opportunity to help liberate and improve the wellbeing of our people, particularly the deprived youth, women and the girl child.
“My decision is not just to accept this huge responsibility but to also work tirelessly and complement Jandor’s burning desire to see our dear Lagos live up to its full potentials.”
