Tems Win Best Melodic Rap Performance for “Wait for U” at 2023 Grammys

The song “Wait for U” by Future, Drake, and Tems has won the 2023 Grammy Award for Best Melodic Rap Performance. Other tracks by Jack Harlow (“First Class”), Kendrick Lamar (“Die Hard”), Latto (“Big Energy (Live)”), and DJ Khaled (“Beautiful”) were not as popular as the 2022 single.

Future is nominated for Best Rap Album with I Never Liked You in addition to his two nominations in the category (for “Wait for U” and “Pushin P”); Tems is also nominated for Album of the Year for her work on Beyoncé’s Renaissance. Despite not submitting any of his other music for nomination this year, the win represented Drake’s first Grammy of the year.
