This Is Me… Now, a new musical endeavor by Jennifer Lopez, will be released in 2023, she said on Friday morning. The singer will release his first full-length album in eight years.
Lopez released a track listing for her upcoming album, which contains the title “Dear Ben Pt. II,” likely a follow-up to the album’s “Dear Ben,” along with a video that depicts her 20 years ago in her “This Is Me Then” phase changing into the present-day J.Lo.
According to a press release, Lopez’s “emotional, spiritual, and psychological journey” over the previous 20 years will be documented in this “musical encounter.” She teases the release of This Is Me in the trailer… J.Lo now states: “We caught me at this very moment. Do not give up if, like me, you have occasionally lost hope. And it’s true. I wish to spread that message throughout the world.
This Is Me… Then, which had songs like “The One” and “All I Have,” starring LL Cool J, reached its highest position on the Billboard 200 list at No. 2. (dated Dec. 14, 2002). This Is Me… Now will be J.Lo’s first album in eight years, after A.K.A. in 2014, after the release of a few singles and the soundtrack for her movie Marry Me during the last almost decade. The compositions on the 2023 album are characterized as “plaintive, candid songs, reflections on the struggles of her past, cheerful jams praising love and sex.” The album’s precise release date has not yet been disclosed.
