A few other cast members were also reported by Deadline in a story from December 2022. Auli’i Cravalho, who starred in Crush, will portray Janis Ian, Angourie Rice will play Cady Heron, and Jaquel Spivey will play Damian Leigh.
The new movie is being made by Lorne Michaels and Tina Fey, who is also penning the script. Jeff Richmond will provide the music and Nell Benjamin will write the words, same as the Broadway adaption.
