Who Is Simon Guobadia? Porsha Williams’ Husband

Simon Guobadia and Porsha Williams are officially married. After dating for one month, the couple made an engagement announcement in May 2021. Guobadia — the ex of Williams’ former Real Housewives of Atlanta costar Falynn Guobadia — shared their engagement news on Instagram, showing off Williams’ massive emerald-cut engagement ring. He stated that he in the caption “asked her to marry me because we checked ALL of each other’s boxes, and then some.”

Since then, the couple has been together in The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Porsha’s Family Matters, a spin-off of the RHOA limited series. The former Real Housewives of Atlanta actress used the hashtag #Guobadia2022 to post on Instagram in June 2022 that their wedding date was “scheduled” and “ready,” but she did not give the precise day.

He is from Nigeria, Africa

Guobadia was born in Nigeria on June 2, 1964. He immigrated to the United States in 1982 and has seven younger siblings.Guobadia brought Williams to his homeland in September 2021, and she posted images and videos of the journey on Instagram.

He is the CEO and founder of a petroleum corporation.
Having attended the University of District of Columbia, he earned a bachelor of arts in accounting. Guobadia launched Simon & Company, currently known as Simcol Petroleum Limited Company, in 2007 to provide refined fuels to the southeast of the United States. Guobadia worked as a CPA before “focusing on accounting, audit, transactional tax consulting and software development for several global prestigious firms.”

He loves to play golf.

Guobadia plays golf frequently in his spare time. His golf swing practice sessions on the course, in his backyard at home, and at the driving range were documented on Instagram.

He is an avid car collector.

In a feature article published in June 2022 of Simply Buckhead magazine, the CEO discussed his love of collecting automobiles in further detail. According to him, his current collection, which includes three Rolls-Royces, a Phantom, a Cullinan, a Dawn, a Ferrari 812 GTS, a Coachmen Mauck2 custom van, a Mercedes-AMG S63, and a Cadillac Escalade, is worth more than $2 million.

“I just love them,” Guobadia told the magazine. “I love the history around certain vehicles, whether they’re Italian or British or German.”

He even gifted Williams his and hers Rolls-Royce Ghosts in January 2022. With the caption “#ThankYouHubby,” Williams posted pictures of herself driving the new car on Instagram.

His previous spouse was an Atlanta Housewife.
Guobadia had previously been married three times, most recently to Falynn Guobadia, a former Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member. Although they were married in June 2019, the couple declared their split in April 2021.

“After a year and a half together, Falynn and I have made the mutual decision to end our marriage. Despite our willingness to be transparent, we respectfully ask for privacy at this time. Thank you,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories at the time.

Just a few months after Guobadia asked Williams to marry him, the former couple formalized their divorce in July 2021.

He has five kids.

Quentin, Nicole, Christian, Benjamin, and Ximena are Guobadia’s five children from prior relationships. He posted a photo of himself with Williams and three of his children enjoying their home school graduation in May 2022 on Instagram, stating, “All graduated with Honors, and advancing to various grade levels.”

Guobadia also thanked his former partners in the post for their assistance.

“Thanks to both moms for working with me to co-parent these exceptionally gifted children,” he added.

He has dabbled in the movie business.

The businessman has a love of movies as well, and he has worked as an executive producer on films like Jail House Dogs (2012), Ken Ford Live from the Buckhead Theatre (2013), Kill (2019), and Son of the South (2020).
