Zoe Saldaña is the only actor to have four different films that have grossed over $2 billion in box office receipts, thanks to Avatar: The Way of Water. Saldaña appeared in all of the films that generated more than $2 billion, including the original Avatar, Avatar: The Way of Water, Avengers: Endgame, and Avengers: Infinity War, even if you might have trouble identifying the actor behind all the prosthetics and animation. According to CNBC, just six films have ever made over $2 billion in box office revenue, and Titanic and Star Wars: The Force Awakens are the only ones without Saldaña.
Regarding her role in so many of these high-budget franchise movies, Saldaa told Deadline, “I feel grateful and like the luckiest girl in this town knowing that I was invited to join films with special directors in a special cast. And they resonated with people so much so that we get a chance to come back again and come back another time. If anything, I’ve reaped all the benefits of that, I’ve gained friends. I still have mentors that I call and I lean into.”
Saldaña portrays the blue-skinned Neytiri in the Avatar films while portraying the deep green Gamora in the MCU.
