Cordae Amari Dunston, also known as Cordae, is a 25-year-old American rapper, singer, and songwriter. Remixes of well-known songs like “My Name Is” by Eminem were among the first tracks he posted on YouTube that attracted attention. In 2018, he became a member of the YBN collective, who in September of that year released their sole album, YBN: The Mixtape, which featured joint efforts with Gucci Mane, Wiz Khalifa, Lil Skies, Machine Gun Kelly, and Chris Brown. In the year 2020, he left the group.
Additionally, Cordae has released two solo studio albums: From a Bird’s Eye View in 2022 and The Lost Boy in 2019 (both of which were nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2020 Grammy Awards and Best Rap Song for the song “Bad Idea”).
How long has he been in a relationship with Naomi?
Although the two claimed to have met at a Clippers game, dating rumors first surfaced in April 2019 after Osaka posted a photo in the mirror with Cordae on Instagram. Although they looked amazing when attending the 2021 Met Gala together, they have kept the specifics of their relationship quite discreet over the years, and they wouldn’t have it any other way.
“We were dating for almost a year before people knew about us. So we kind of move very reclusively,” Cordae told GQ in 2021. “We don’t really post intimate moments, because I feel as though they’re sacred.”
Cordae is Naomi’s biggest fan.
Before he met Osaka, Cordae claimed to know nothing about tennis, but after they started dating, he developed a passion for the competitive player. Osaka participated in the US Open in June 2019 with her partner cheering her on from the audience. Funny enough, it was the first tennis match he had ever seen.
Since then, he has supported her throughout other important matches, including the 2020 US Open, where a viral video shows him sweetly applauding her victory.

Cordae, like Osaka, is a vocal supporter of social justice. In support of Black victims of police violence, Osaka donned masks at the 2020 US Open, while Cordae appeared wearing a “Defund the Police” T-shirt.
