The Princess of Wales, has confirmed that she has completed chemotherapy after receiving a cancer diagnosis in March. She expressed relief at the end of her treatment and plans to return to public duties in the coming months.

“As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment,” she begins, in a voiceover that plays over rare at-home footage of herself, husband Prince William, and their three children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6. “The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant, and we’ve had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.” she said.

The emotional video, filmed by Will Warr, shows the royal family walking through the woods together before cutting to the Princess driving alone through the countryside and forest. In a voiceover, she reflects on the challenges her family has faced in the past nine months, navigating the complexities and uncertainties of the cancer journey.

The remainder of the footage shows the Waleses enjoying outdoor activities like playing cards, climbing trees, and running through fields. Kate wears a light blue dress and later a patterned cotton midi. The film includes intimate moments between William and Kate, including a deep embrace on a blanket in the woods and laughter while laying in the sand. Kate reflects on the importance of loving and being loved, highlighting the significance of these simple moments in life.

The announcement of her return to royal duties comes nearly half a year after she first shared her health diagnosis with the public. Following her revelation, she has mostly kept a low profile, making only a few notable public appearances such as her attendance at Wimbledon. It appears that Kate is now in good health and ready to fully embrace her responsibilities within the royal family once again.

“The surgery was successful; however, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy, and I am now in the early stages of that treatment,” she said in a video message at the time.
