This year Princess Kate turned to her wardrobe archives (as usual) for Easter Mattins Service at St. George’s Chapel with Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis in attendance.
Kate wore the same royal blue Catherine Walker coat she wore for Commonwealth Service in March 2022. She finished the look with matching Lock and Co. hat, a royal blue clutch, nude pumps and statement earrings. For manicure, the Princes of Wales chose an interesting hue – scarlet red, which is frowned upon by senior royals who prefer natural nail colors. It is also important to note that Diana’s “revenge dress” at the Serpentine Gallery in 1994 included red nails and although, Kate is no royal rebel, it’s however, encouraging to see her step outside of her personal bubble.
King Charles III and his wife, Camilla, the queen consort, were among those present at the service. Camila was dressed to match Princess Kate as with with other royals wearing a deep blue gown with a light blue motif embroidery.
During this morning’s service, Prince William and Prince George donned matching navy suits, while little Prince Louis made his royal Easter debut in a navy suit jacket, light blue shorts, knee-high socks, and black dress shoes. Princess Charlotte, meanwhile, wore a navy coat over a blue-and-white flowery frock, with vivid blue stockings and black Mary Jane heels.
