Congratulations, Paris Hilton! The socialite, DJ, and model announced on Tuesday that she and her husband Carter Reum had had their first child, a baby boy. Hilton shared the news on Instagram with a photo of the baby’s hand in her own, along with the touching caption, “You are already loved beyond words.”
The announcement comes little over a year after Hilton wed Reum, a businessman and venture investor, in a grandiose Bel-Air ceremony where the bride wore a custom made Oscar de la Renta gown. The pair wed eight months after a quick engagement on a private island in February 2021.
Hilton previously said that she will use a surrogate to give birth to her first child after starting the IVF procedure months before the epidemic started. In a 2021 podcast interview with writer Mara Schiavocampo, Hilton revealed that none other than Kardashian herself had referred her to her fertility doctor, Dr. Andy Huang, and that she and Reum had already started the process of naming their child.
When she spoke on Nikki and Brie Bella’s The Bellas Podcast, she also discussed her marriage and how thrilled she and Reum were to be beginning a baby. She said she and Reum had discussed having kids “since the beginning” and that they would really like to have twins. “I love being married. I just feel like I finally found my perfect match and I just feel so safe,” Hilton said on the show. “I finally have my home and I just can’t wait to start a family and have kids.”
