A fan mistook Mila Kunis for Megan Fox, and the Bad Moms actress responded brilliantly.
Although the conversation was caught on camera until recently, it really happened in September as Kunis was signing autographs outside Jimmy Kimmel Live! in New York City. “I love her! That’s Megan Fox,” As a fan holds up a picture of the Jennifer’s Body actress, Kunis addresses them. “She’s fantastic, and the fact that you thought I was her—but I love that you thought that I was her.”
Despite declining to sign a poster of herself posing in a bikini(“I’m gonna pass on that one, my friend,” she told the fan.), the That ’90s Show actress continued to joyfully sign autographs for admirers on the sidewalk while dressed casually in a white T-shirt, loose-fitting black slacks, white shoes, and a black face mask.
Kunis has been confused for other famous people besides Fox. Sarah Hyland, who stars in Modern Family, is frequently mistaken for the actress by fans.
During an interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Hyland shared the amusing news. “It still happens,” she said. “I mean, I met her maybe 10 years ago. I was very excited to meet her. I was such a massive fan, and everyone always told me that I looked like her, but the first time I met her, she was like, ‘I get confused as you all the time, and I love it. I take it as a compliment, because you’re younger than I am. So sometimes I go along with it.’
Adding, “And I was like, ‘Well, the next time that I get mistaken for you, can I pretend to be you?’ And she gave me permission, but then a month later, it was the Golden Globes when she was nominated for Black Swan.”
