Duchess Meghan opted for a significant yellow dress at a reception concluding her trip to Nigeria. During her visit to the State Governor House in Lagos on Mother’s Day, she exuded elegance in a striking sleeveless gown designed by Carolina Herrera. This flowing silk dress holds sentimental value, as Meghan previously wore it in 2020 to celebrate Prince Archie’s first birthday and in 2021 to announce her pregnancy with Princess Lilibet.

Nigeria’s Chief of Defense Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa OFR, and Governor of Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, hosted the event. Upon their arrival, the governor’s wife adorned Meghan with an aso-oke, a woven indigenous shawl symbolizing wealth, featuring white and yellow stripes. Meghan completed her look with a nude slingback leather sandal and gold hammered disc earrings from Jennifer Meyer, a gold AURATE collar necklace, and a stack of gold bangle bracelets.

Prior to the event, Meghan selected another maxi skirt aso oke iteration (this time made of white and blue striped, a hand-woven material). She paired her indeginous skirt a white button-down shirt from Caroline Herrera with rolled sleeves, metallic heels, a gold pendant necklace, and black square sunglasses.

The duo were first welcomed at the Lagos airport with an acrobatic dance performance, then supported the nonprofit Giants of Africa on a basketball court at Ilupeju Senior Grammar School. Walking in hand with Meghan, Prince Harry wore a white button-down shirt and brown slacks, tan suit jacket, suede loafers, and black shades, completing the ensemble.
