Over the years, celebs like Beyoncé, Rihanna, Katy Perry, etc. have announced their pregnancy in various dramatic and glamorous ways. At the 2023 MET Gala, Karlie Kloss and Serena Williams took a step further revealing theirs at fashions biggest night.
Karlie Kloss arrived on the red carpet with her in-utero” plus-one” wearing a Loewe dress designed by Jonathan Anderson. For accessories, she included layers of pearls on her neck and waist. Kloss and her husband, businessman Josh Kushner, got married in 2018 and had their first child, Levi Joseph, in 2021.
Serena, on the other hand, had already giving a glimpse of her baby bump prior on Instagram featuring photos of her in her elegant white-and-black custom Gucci look.
The Gucci black dress included a sheer sleeves with an airy white chiffon skirt-esque train. The dress’s collar and skirt were adorned with pink-toned crystals, and its white sleeves had pink crystal buttons. In addition to her diamond engagement ring and wedding band, she decorated the stunning item with many layers of white pearl necklaces, a pearl headband by Lelet NY, and diamond stud earrings from Tiffany & Co. She had her hair pulled back into a tidy bob, thick eyeliner on her eyes and a cherry lip.
Williams and her husband, Alexis Ohanian, are parents to 4-year-old Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. Williams announced last August that she would be stepping away from tennis to focus on expanding her family. She has been outspoken about the health difficulties she experienced during her first pregnancy, calling attention to the increased rate of maternal mortality for Black women in the U.S., which nearly claimed her life.
