In October 2023, Jodie Turner-Smith and Joshua Jackson called it quits on their nearly four-year marriage. Other than outlining their irreconcilable disagreements, they have stayed silent about the conclusion. In a recent interview that appeared in The Sunday Times Style magazine, Turner-Smith discussed the end and her present circumstances.
“Sometimes things we really want to work just don’t end up working,” she said. “And that’s okay. The most important thing is that you choose what’s healthiest for you and your family and definitely your children. There are so many different moments in our life where we look at ourselves and say, ‘Who am I and am I being true to that?’ ”
She continued: “If the answer is no, then you have to make a move, because I believe that there are visible scars from staying in places that are not good for us. And they don’t just affect us, they affect everybody around us. I don’t think it’s a failure. We obviously had such a beautiful moment together. And now it’s time for a new moment for both of us. And how exciting!”
Turner-Smith and Jackson have a daughter, Juno Rose, born in April 2020. The actor prioritizes her daughter’s happiness and aims to set an example for her daughter. She believes that this is about love and joy, taking a step forward for everyone involved. Turner-Smith and Jackson currently have joint custody of Juno Rose and are working through their divorce proceedings.
