Billie Eilish has achieved a number of notable feats in 2022. In addition, she and her brother Finneas shared an Oscar for their work on the James Bond theme tune, “No Time To Die,” which made the singer the youngest solo headliner to perform on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury. She celebrated her 21st birthday with a lavish star-studded party at The Edition in Hollywood, replete with a ceiling strewn with sparkling disco balls and a photo booth where Kendall Jenner, Hailey Bieber, and other celebrities posed for images to cap off her incredible achievements.

Eilish dressed as Mrs. Claus for the Christmas-themed party, extinguished the candles on a multi-tiered birthday cake topped with candy canes, and danced beneath a book-inspired banner that said, “A Billie Christmas To All And To All A Goodnight.” Her VIP guests stuffed themselves into a “Billie’s 21st”-themed photo booth, where Jenner, Hailey Bieber, and Jesse Jo Stark threw up middle fingers. Tributes to the birthday girl poured onto Instagram, where guests including Dove Cameron saluted their “fiery sagittarius cosmos sorceress, we all love you so much.”

As Eilish and Rutherford kissed in front of the audience and raised their glasses in salute, other guests snapped pictures in front of mirrors or congregated around the dance floor. Hailey Bieber tweeted her own photo of herself kissing her husband Justin in the photo booth because she never misses out on romance.

Rutherford and Billie’s family had surprised the singer with a cake during her Hometown Encore concert at California’s Kia Forum a few days previously, causing the audience to chant “Happy Birthday” before her big day. Billie was joined on stage by Childish Gambino’s Donald Glover, who sang “Redbone” before wishing Billie a happy birthday.

Since Halloween, when she made their Instagram relationship official, Eilish, now 21, and Rutherford, 31, have been publicly dating. In October, during her Same Interview, the Sixth Year video interview with Vanity Fair, she admitted, “Yeah, I do [have a boyfriend now].” And it’s really cool, and I’m really excited, and I’m really happy about it.” Although their old man and baby costumes raised a few eyebrows earlier this year, Eilish has maintained that their age gap has little bearing on the respect between them: “You know, I don’t wanna be controlled,” she told Vanity Fair. “I wanna be trusted, and I wanna be able to have space, and I want love and attention, and equal admiration is really important. I just am really inspired by this person [Rutherford], and you know he’s inspired by me. It’s really cool.”
