Although celebrity feuds are endless, a handful do manage to put their differences aside and reconcile. After weeks of recieving hate online from fans who beilieved Hailey Bieber and Kylie Jenner threw shade at Selena – both stars (i.e. Hailey and Selena) have finally called it truce with Hailey taking a step further to hit the like buton on Selena’s throwback pic on Instagram (yes! directly on her page – not a fan page.)
This comes after Hailey thanked Gomez for asking fans to stop harrassing and sending death threats to the star. According to Selena via a released statement: “Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity,” the actress shared. “This isn’t what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I’ve always advocated for kindness and really want this all to stop. ♥️”
Showing her gratitude for Bieber wrote via Instagram stories: I want to thank Selena for speaking out, as her and I have been discussing the last few weeks how to move past this ongoing narrative between her and I,” last week.
Adding, “We all need to be more thoughtful about what we post and what we say, including myself. In the end, I believe love will always be bigger than hate and negativity, and there is always an opportunity to meet each other with more empathy and compassion.”
Due to their ties with Justin Bieber, the two have been embroiled in an ongoing dispute for years (according to fans speculation). Prior to their final breakup in 2018, Selena and Justin dated for several years. Less than a year later, in July 2018, Bieber proposed to Hailey, and they wed in December of the same year.
When appearing on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast in September 2022, Hailey said that there was only love and respect between the two. The model and the actress later on in October that same year attended the second annual Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles and they were captured by Tyrell Hampton spending time together.
