Cher revealed that she had a new boyfriend in her life after being single for years.
The pop icon posted on Twitter to announce that she is dating music producer Alexander “A.E.” Edwards and that they are having the time of their lives after being seen out together holding hands. The singer’s post on November 1 that said, “One part of my life is SO AMAZING,” along with a love eyes emoji, gave fans their first inkling that something was up with the singer. Soon after that, on November 3, the singer was seen walking hand in hand with Edwards into the West Hollywood hotspot Craig’s where they had dinner with rapper Tyga. As they waited in the car, Edwards was even seen kissing her hand at one point. The following day, the singer responded to a tweet saying, “Someone’s got a new boyfrienddd,” in response to which she wrote, “YESSSSS.”
Cher and her new boyfriend made their relationship social media public on Sunday night when she tweeted a screenshot of the music producer along with the word “Alexander” and a red love emoji.
The singer stated that she and Edwards met at Paris Fashion Week, which took place from late September to early October and during which Cher famously walked the runway and concluded Balmain’s spring/summer 2023 show hand in hand with creative director Olivier Rousteing.
She added that the producer treats her like a queen, and her entire family has already met him. “She then tweeted cryptically, “That was Then, This is Now,” in response. She responded to a fan’s question, “IS THIS YOUR NEW MAN!?,” with merely a smiley face emoji surrounded by love.
ne fan expressed their concern regarding A.E.’s intentions towards her, but Cher replied, “As we All Know…I WASNT BORN YESTERDAY, & What I Know For Sure…There Are No Guarantees. Anytime you make a Choice You Take a Chance.I’ve Always Taken Chances…It’s WHO I Am.” And when another follower said, “He better be treating you like the queen you are!,” she assured them, “LIKE A 👑.”
She reportedly brushed off their 40-year age difference, saying, “Love doesn’t know math,” as reported by the Daily Mail. The music legend then clarified the matter once and for all in a subsequent tweet, writing, “I’m Not Defending us.Haters are Gonna Hate…Doesn’t Matter That we’re Happy & Not Bothering Anyone.”
When Edwards and Amber Rose initially started dating in 2018, they had a son named Slash who is now 3 years old. However, the relationship ended three years later when he was found to have cheated on her with many women. At the moment, Rose posted on her Instagram Stories, “All 12 of y’all bums (The ones that I know of there’s probably more) can have him.”
In a later interview with Entertainment Tonight, the producer admitted to having an affair. He acknowledged that he “was caught” and that Rose had “just had enough, obviously.” From 1964 until 1975, Cher was wed to Sonny Bono, then from 1975 to 1979, she was wed to Gregg Allman. She has one child with Bono, Chaz, who is now 53 years old, and another child with Allman, Elijah (who is now 46).
