It is a family matter. Beyoncé posted a picture of her and her family in their hilarious Halloween costumes last night. They were the titular characters from the Disney Channel animated series The Proud Family. Suga Mama, the matriarch of the Proud family, and Trudy Parker-Proud, the family’s mother, were both portrayed by the “Summer Renaissance” singer in elaborate costumes. In the meantime, Jay-Z dressed as Oscar Proud, his father. The ten-year-old Blue Ivy wore the main character Penny Proud’s recognizable pigtails and multicolored maroon attire.
The five-year-old twins Rumi and Sir, who belong to Beyoncé and Jay-Z, were also featured in the photo. The kids donned costumes to represent Cece and Bebe, the Proud family’s own twins.
Bey captioned the picture with the phrase “Family every single day and night,” referencing the series’ well-known theme tune. (The show’s theme song, performed by Beyoncé, significantly contributed to its success. Solange, her younger sister, provided the voice for the title song, which also featured members of Destiny’s Child.)
Since the July release of her critically praised seventh studio album, Renaissance, Beyoncé has been booked and extremely active.
