In a surprising turn of events, during a live concert on Saturday, the powerhouse vocalist Adele halted her performance to shine a spotlight on another star – the talented sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson.
At a show in Munich, the singer spotlighted the women’s 100-meter final. Richardson claimed silver, while Alfred took gold for Saint Lucia’s first-ever Olympic medal. Richardson was expected to win, having dominated her heat and placed second in the semifinals earlier that Saturday. Adele had shown support for Richardson at a previous show, hoping for her victory.
