ARISE Fashion Week 2020, is no doubt one of the biggest fashion events in Nigeria and permit me to brag a little – in Africa. For its 2020 event, tp African designers showcased line ups from their respective Spring/Summer 2021 collection.
Held virtually, the event was star packed with the likes of supermodel – Naomi Campbell, Wizkid, Wurld, Wavy the Creator, The Cavemen etc. Known for breaking records, ARISE Fashion Week had raised the ante even further by celebrating a new brand of designers – ‘30 under 30’ with a cash prize of $500,000 to be shared amongst the winners. This technically puts Nigeria and the African continent on the map, birthing next generation fashion designers from Africa.
While the winner has obviously gone home with the prize money, we at LEURR decided to list our top ten (10) designs from the just concluded event. Drum rolls please!!
