When the New York City Ballet’s Fall Fashion Gala took over Lincoln Center last night, the evening was destined for drama. Hosted by Sarah Jessica Parker—who floated in a darkly romantic Black Swan–inspired ensemble—the gala fused performance and high fashion with the premiere of Jamar Roberts’s Foreseeable Future, featuring costumes by Dutch visionary Iris Van Herpen.

Van Herpen’s ethereal craftsmanship extended beyond the stage and onto the red carpet, where Julia Fox delivered one of her most mesmerizing looks yet. The actress and model arrived in a sculptural black-and-white creation from the designer’s Eclipse collection—a piece that seemed to blur the boundaries between art, fashion, and movement. The dress, composed of hundreds of hand-stitched white spheres outlined in black, created a 3D illusion that felt as though Fox had stepped straight out of a futuristic sketchbook. Each laser-cut piece, layered meticulously to form fluid wings and contours, caught the light with every turn.

Fox completed the look with a ballet-inspired bun, dipped at the ends in blonde and violet hues, and eyeshadow to match. Sharp brows and chartreuse pointed-toe heels punctuated the ensemble, proving once again that Fox approaches the red carpet not as a destination—but as a stage for performance art.

In a night devoted to dance and design, she was perfectly on theme: part muse, part masterpiece.
