Sabrina Carpenter made a statement on the red carpet at the 2024 MTV VMAs in a stunning dress fit for a pop star, drawing comparisons to Madonna in a striking vintage piece from Tab Vintage.
Carpenter and her stylist, Jared Ellner chose a silver sequined Bob Mackie dress from 1991 for the VMAs, which was originally created for Madonna to wear at the Academy Awards. The gown, inspired by Marilyn Monroe in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, caused a stir when Madonna wore it and made headlines Tab’s owner Alexis Novak told Vogue. It included a with a romantic sweetheart neckline adorned with crystals which Sabrina accessorized with a diamond necklace, earrings, and rings from De Beers.
When it comes to glam, Carpenter fully embraced Old Hollywood with silver eyeshadow and a striking red lip. Her blonde hair was elegantly styled in a curly ‘do reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe.
