Kendall Jenner, a highly acclaimed vintage collector herself, showcased her most remarkable archive fashion moment at this year’s Met Gala.

Jenner shared with Vogue that she created a dream list of potential partners and would have loved to wear something by Alexander McQueen. Kendall Jenner wore one of McQueen’s 1999 Givenchy Haute Couture looks, which was never shown on the runway. The look, preserved in the Givenchy archives, will be returned to the archives after Jenner wears it.

Alexander McQueen created the dress using nude and black tulle, hand-embroidering over 100,000 beads and sequins, a laborious task that required 500 hours to complete. The dress also incorporated V-shaped mesh panels, a gold spiked collar, and a waist-length gold fringe adorned with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, which shimmered as she ascended the stairs.

This marks her 10th appearance at the Met Gala, following her 2023 appearance where she wore a unique Marc Jacobs bodysuit with black sequins, quilted ivory fabric sleeves, and a bedazzled pointed collar.
