Kate Middleton’s wardrobe brims with fashion pieces that are tried and true. The Princess of Wales definitely has a fashion formula and sticks to it. Case in point: If not repeating wears for the cause of sustainability, she can often be found in Alexander McQueen suits, Catherine Walker coats, and Alessandra Rich dresses at formal occasions.
On casual days, she relies on British countryside classics (think off-duty looks in the Netflix series Crown) like waxy outdoor jackets, Breton tops, and slim-fit jeans. Her latest iteration of the look was at a “Dad Walk” event at the Dadvengers, a community for dads and their children in north London. She wore a casually elegant everyday look, including a white crewneck sweater with navy stripes, high-waisted blue jeans and a light brown wax jacket which has a long rich history.
Wax jackets are customary for members of the royal family, and Queen Elizabeth II especially treasures her Barbour Beaufort jacket which she held on to for 25 years. True to form, photos of the royal family walking the Highlands and visiting other countries features King Charles II, Princess Diana, Prince William, and the Princess of Wales all posing in their wax jackets.
Kate Middleton completed her look with dark brown lug-sole Chelsea leather boots. She accessorized with small gold hoop earrings and natural rosy makeup. Her hair was blown out in her signature silky waves.
This outing marks Kate Middleton’s first royal engagement in two weeks as she and Prince William took a decison to reduce their royal duties considering their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
