Gabriela Hearst’s autumn/winter 2023 collection for Chloé had several slip dresses, one of which Lila Moss wore to conclude the runway show in a breezy white look decorated with a pearly body chain and gold-buckle sandals.
Naturally, Lila’s well-known mother, Kate Moss, favored slip dresses throughout the early years of her modeling career. Lila’s runway look was reminiscent of the slip that John Galliano gave Kate for her 21st birthday and which she later wore to the 1995 CFDA Awards.
At the tender age of 14, Lila landed her first modeling job as the face (and hair) of The Braid Bar, the same age her mother was when she was discovered by Storm Model founder, Sarah Doukas. In the years that followed, the British model’s career flourished, most notably when she turned 16 and was named the face of Marc Jacobs Beauty in 2018, appeared on her first solo cover of Dazed Magazine that year, and appeared in Miu Miu’s SS20 campaign.
