When you can wear two couture dresses, why wear just one? Clearly, Jennifer Lopez had that in mind when she was getting ready for the Shotgun Wedding film premiere. The multi-hyphenate celebrated the premiere of the Amazon Prime movie on Wednesday night with her co-stars and her husband, Ben Affleck, wearing two designs from Pierpaolo Piccioli’s most recent couture collection for Valentino.
The red carpet was first, and Lopez arrived there looking like the epitome of a party. The actress was dressed in as heer beige crystal-embellished gown with a yellow ribbon tied around the waist – from Valentino’s autumn/winter 2022 haute couture collection. Lopez chose to wear a nude bodysuit to play into the illusion in a more conservative way while the model who wore the garment went bare below on the runway. Lopez completed the look with a marigold velvet clutch purse, a pair of revealing platform shoes, diamond drop earrings, and diamond bangles.
Lopez posed with her co-star in the film, Josh Duhamel, on the red carpet. She was later joined by Affleck at the after-party for the movie release. At that time, the actress also changed into her second outfit of the evening, a minidress with alternating panels of tulle ruffles and silver crystal embroidery. Lopez wore the dress with crystal-covered fishnet stockings, just like it was modelled on the runway, but she opted for Valentino Tan-Go platforms instead of the feather-covered silver shoes from the show.
