Jessica Chastain is accustomed to dominating red carpets and winning praise throughout award season. At the 2023 Golden Globes, the actress dazzled once more with a glamorous Oscar de la Renta gown.
The Miss Sloane actress made a splash when she arrived at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles, shining in an Oscar de la Renta structured, semi-sheer gown. The elaborate strapless dress, designed by Elizabeth Stewart, was covered with crystals that were sewed into the nude-tone bodice in a spiderweb pattern that started at her waist and continued all the way up to the semicircular neckline and down the column skirt.
With the exception of many Gucci rings, the singer didn’t wear any accessories, letting the eye-catching garment speak for itself. She finished off her ensemble with a similar crystal-studded mask, a pair of dazzling champagne-toned platform shoes by Casadei, and her red hair pulled back into a low bun.
For her role as country music star Tammy Wynette in the miniseries George & Tammy, the Oscar winner is up for Best Actress in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.
Chastain won an Oscar for her depiction of televangelist-singer Tammy Faye Bakker in the movie The Eyes of Tammy Faye during the previous awards season. The actress recently admitted to Vogue that the two Tammys truly have some similarities. “They are both women doing extraordinary things in an environment that suppresses them,” she explained. “Women who are defined by the men in their lives and break free from that.”
