When news of actor Austin Butler and model Kaia Gerber’s improbable romance broke in 2021, the two individuals—each already well-known in their own right—made headlines together. They’ve been going strong for more than a year now.

A few days later, on December 22, E! News releases exclusive photos of the two arriving and unpacking their luggage at the Los Angeles airport, bolstering the romance claims. A source told ET in January that the two are dating. “Kaia and Austin are seeing each other. They’re getting to know each other better and having a lot of fun hanging out,” the insider tells the outlet. “They’re very sweet and affectionate with each other and it feels comfortable between the two of them.”

In photos published by the Daily Mail paparazzi, the model and actor are seen leaving their hotel in Paris while on a romantic getaway in the City of Love.

Butler and Gerber made their first official red carpet appearance as a pair at the Met Gala, where they pose together in Gilded Age attire for the design event’s “In America: An Anthology of Fashion” 2022 theme. On March 24, the two were previously photographed together exiting W Magazine’s pre-Oscars Best Performances party.

During a feature interview with GQ, the Elvis actor specifies his privacy restrictions in regards to his relationship with Gerber.
“I don’t think there’s anything I want to share about that,” he says when questioned about their romance. “But thank you for providing the space.”
