On November 30, the MOBO Awards returned to London, and it was unquestionably a memorable evening. For the first time in its 25-year existence, “Alpha Place” by Knucks and “Sometimes I Might Be Introvert” by Little Simz both won the Best Album award. For Little Simz, who also received the Mercury Prize 2022 in October, this is the cherry on top of a tremendous year.

Jourdan Dunn’s stylist, Justin Hamilton chose a silky draped dress from Blumarine’s spring/summer 2023 collection for Jourdan to wear at the MOBO Awards, which took place at London’s OVO Arena Wembley. The Little Mermaid was Nicola Brognano’s main point of inspiration for this season, and it was expressed in the cascading neckline and sparkling fabric.

The dress also included the Italian designer’s distinctive Y2K look with its logo clasp on the chest and scooped low-back. The backless part, which was joined with string fabric, was made possible by cutouts at the sides. She layered gold bangles on top of the flowing satin cloth to form a modest train.

Jourdan accentuated her Noughties look with gold makeup, winged liner, and an up ‘do with tendrils framing her face.
