At the 2022 WWD Honors ceremony this week, Gigi Hadid channeled ’90s Gwyneth Paltrow in a cobalt-blue Tommy Hilfiger suit consisting of a longline double-breasted jacket with peaked lapels and wide-leg pants. A Paltrow-esque undertone could also be seen in the shirt that Gigi was wearing underneath. In 1996, Paltrow also sported a blue Oxford shirt with the buttons undone.
Gigi wore identical pointed-toe heels and an open, pristine white dress shirt with the outfit. Hadid accessorized simply with stacked diamond necklaces. The model went for bronzy makeup, which included a brown lip, and beach waves for glitz.In line with the retro theme, Gigi wore Aspinal London’s recently released tiny Madison purse, which is made of chestnut croc-embossed leather.
The awards dinner, held at Cipriani South Street in New York City, honored high talent in the retail, fashion, and beauty industries as well as executives and designers who have made significant contributions to the sector. After being awarded the John B. Fairchild Honor for Lifetime Achievement, designer Tommy Hilfiger delightedly posed for pictures alongside Hadid.
