The single life has been good for Dua Lipa.
On the most recent edition of her iHeartRadio podcast, Dua Lipa: At Your Service, the singer and street-style icon talked openly about her love life. The “Don’t Start Now” singer admitted to Charli XCX that she has been concentrating on herself for the past year during their talk.
“For me, this is the first year I’ve not been in a relationship for a very long time,” she said. “It’s been really great to just be alone and only think about myself and kind of be quite selfish.”
Lipa continued by saying that she has “never really had the opportunity” to focus on herself lately. Adding “But when you find someone that really softens you and calms you down — I think it’s [a] Leo thing — it makes a big difference.”
The pop sensation split with Anwar Hadid, Gigi and Bella Hadid’s younger brother, in December 2021 after seeing him for approximately two years. The couple maintained a low profile on the specifics of their courtship in the media during their partnership.
