Taraji P. Henson MET Gala Look Is an Ode to Diana Ross

“Diana Ross is iconic. That’s who I grew up wanting to be,” Taraji says.

Working with her stylist, Jason Bolden, Taraji P. Henson MET Gala look was inspired by flamboyance and courageousness of innately fashionable Black women. An ode to Diana Ross – Taraji stayed true to this years MET Theme ( In America: A Lexicon of Fashion) donning a sparkly embellished Black and silver Moschino catsuit by Jeremy Scott.

To continue paying homage to 70s and 80s American fashion and disco glam, Taraji went for a glowy and glassy skin. She completed her look with a her sexy smokey eye with her textured hair, inspired by Diana Ross,

Also complementing her look were diamonds from Roberto Coin and shoes from Stuart Weitzman.

According to CUT, her hair was taken out of Diana’s cover – her 1987 “Red Hot Rhythm & Blues” album. The site also detailed what it took to get Taraji’s look. While everyone started preparing for the long-awaited 2021 Met Gala as soon as the sun rose today, hers started a nigh before which she describes as low-key and quiet.
