Incase your new in town – the remake of the 1994 Nneka The Pretty Serpent is in cinemas!! The premiere was attended by famous faces in Nollywood and we cant wait to show you who wore who and stole the show.
But first a preview:
Since the announcement of the remake, I must confess, I’ve literally been on the edge of my seat in anticipation of the movie. I remember watching the horror as a kid, so it’s no news that I and other 90s kids would want to see what the remake would be like. The storyline of the classic 1994 movie is easy to understand: Nneka uses her supernatural powers to hypnotize any man she fancied and turning him into her zombie. She also had to contend with a number of obstacles and in turn didn’t hesitate to destroy anything that stood between her and her desires.
The red-carpet obviously was fillied with glamour and high profiled actors in the Nollywood industry. With eye-catching array of outfit left right and centre, here are a few that caught our attention.
Idia Aisen plays one of the lead roles in the movie and for her red carpet debut at the Nneka the pretty serpent premiere, Idia exuded Egyptian royalty with her outfit from Oge by Oge. For shoes, The star finished off her look with Christian Louboutin strappy heels.
2. Ndidi Obi
Playing the lead role that was a commercial boom in the 90s, Ndidi Obi also made an appearance in the remake. Her dress code for the night was Vengance, Vainglory and lascivious Enticement wearing Rekana.
3. Stephanie Coker
Ask around, anyone who knows Stepanie Coker, knows that sis doesn’t come to play. The star looked elegant as usual wearing custom 2207 by Tbally.
They say there’s power in a red dress and Beverly Osu is living proof. Wearing Good Girl Code, the star opted for matching heels – making sure we get full glimpse of her toned legs.
If you ever need style inspiration from someone that makes uncoventional look so good? Onyibekeh is definitely your plug! Wearing wezdhurmfranklyn, she paired her look with matching heels opting for cornrows – Elegante.
6. Denrele Edun
Something about Denrele makes me giddy inside, you never know how he’d show up to an event. An if you were wondering what he’d wear to the premiere this is it.
