The latest hairstyle on Ayra’s radar is the raindrop braid. Considered to be the braids of the summer with over 4.3 million views on Tiktok, they are an upgrade to the classic box braids, and while there’s no summer season in Nigeria, they can be good protective hairstyle inspiration now that it’s raining season in some parts of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The look, first created by Maryland-based hairdresser Bethany Nche, is distinguished from the traditional braids with translucent bead appliques that are braided into individual braid strands, giving a raindrop-finished look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At about tailbone length, Ayra styled the braids in a middle-parted free-flowing form, pairing the look with a graphic cropped baby tee, cargo pants, and a fuzzy coat. In another take, Ayra swept thge braids to side keeping all focus on her very y2k attire. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
